KOMATEK2009 11th International Construction Machinery, Technology & Equipment Trade Fair was held during 5-10 May 2009 at Ankara Atatürk Culture Center's Area 1. 393 participants from 23 countries has exhibited their products & services in an area of 72000 square meters comprising of 7000 square meters of indoor and 65000 square meters of outdoor areas.

In view of these statistics, KOMATEK2009 has been once again the largest outdoor area exhibition this year, largest exhibition in its sector as well as made history being the largest KOMATEK ever.

Around 250 construction machinery along with 15 plants, 2 sites and numerous machinery & equipment were exhibited at KOMATEK 2009.

The Opening Ceremony of KOMATEK 2009 commenced with the honouring participation of Mr. Nurettin Özdebir, Chairman of The Ankara Chamber of Industry, Mr. Orhan Aydın, Chairman of OSTİM Organised Industrial Region, Mr. Şükrü Eltutar, Acting Chairman of İMDER, Construction Equipment Distributers and Producers Association of Turkiye and Mr. Ziya Burhanettin Güvenç, The Dean of Çankaya University. The Ceremony had been undertaken by SADA and İŞİM of OSTİM and Çankaya University.

Apart from the valuable support and contributions received from OSTİM, İMDER and OSİAD this years event had been granted with the KOSGEB exhibitions’ support (contribution of KOSGEB granted to smaller scaled organisations to promote their products.).

ERKOM stand was, unquestionably, the most active stand at KOMATEK 2009. Apart from the various live music performances model Seckin Piriler and the Robot , driving the remote controlled machine, were the center of attention and helped draw more visitors to ERKOM stand. Other lively stands included Özkaralar stand, having live music performances and Uygunlar stand having Ali Usta, the famous Çig köfte maker, (minced meat tartar, a local delicacy) serve the visitors’ palette as well as their eyes.

Having been visited by over 23000 professionals, KOMATEK 2009 exceeded all previous exhibitions in terms of visitors. Considering the Trade volume it may be regarded as one of the most successful Trade shows of the year in Türkiye, with specific consideration on being in the global economical crises.
